Still today, decorative copper alloys like bronze and brass are used to create statues, sculptures, and castings. With roots in the splendour and majesty of the Kakatiya Kingdom, Andhra Pradesh has a long tradition of producing metalworkers of exceptional quality, known as "Vishwakarmas." Thanks to the master craftsmen's high level of skill, Metal Craft reached the heights of excellence. The Vishwakarmas of Pembarti were recognised for their exceptional talent in both stone and metal sculpture, and the monarchs hired them to build temples, create "Vigrahas" (god idols), "Vahanas" (chariots), and other decorative elements for temple sculpture. The exquisite vigrahas, which are prime example of moulded crafts, the “Keerthi Mukha” and “Prabha”, which adorn many famous South Indian temples, demonstrate the brilliance of their creativity.

For temple doors, king’s chariots and other items made of gold or silver in ancient times, embossing was done on sheets of metal. As time went on, artisans began to use brass and copper sheets for sheet embossing. In the present, not many people still practice the craft. Nameplates, round wall décor made of brass, and other items are produced. Trophies, god statues, puja items or human figures can also be manufactured upon request.
