It carries rebellious, anti-capitalist and anti-consumerist messages typically unauthorized or supported by local governments. It’s thought-provoking imagery and symbolism serves as a voice for marginalized sections and encourages viewers to reflect on the state of the world.

Street art was never about beautifying things, in fact it’s a powerful means for coming forward, raising your voice and spreading awareness about unseen or scandalous issues. Banksy's art challenges capitalism, war, and government surveillance sparking worldwide controversy and recognition at the same time. Shepard Fairey, known for his iconic "Obey Giant" campaign, uses his art to question against normalcy and societal norms. JR's work aims to break down stereotypes and promote dialogue and understanding the issues.
